So…yes…it’s not a joke or anything. This is the end.
Unfortunately, there will be no special update next week to celebrate the ending as I did with Twisted Mirrors. Things got a bit complicated in my life as the ending approached and I just never got the chance to put anything together. I also need to confess that as time went on, I fell out of love with this project a bit. I was determined to see it to the end, and pretty much everything has gone the way it was always intended to, but you have probably been able to notice how rushed a lot of the end of this has been.
But while I wanted to be honest with you all about that stuff, this comic will always hold a special place in my heart and I am definitely sorry to see it go. It was started back in 2002 and has been a constant presence in my life for 17 full years. No missed updates in all that time outside of computer issues. The complete story from beginning to end. I learned so much from working on this – about how to ink, how to color, how to write for comics, that have made following projects much easier and more streamlined.
I have an idea in mind for a sequel story, but it isn’t complete enough and I’m happy to step aside from this world for a while, so there aren’t currently any plans to proceed with that. For now, Conscripted will likely take FFC’s weekly spot.

Thank you so much for following me on this journey for all these years. Thank you to pensandtales for hosting. It has been a joy working on this and I’m appreciative of all the kind words and words of criticism I’ve received.

It’s been a wild ride. Thank you for joining me.

I’ve been getting a lot more spam than usual hitting the site lately (pretty much all centered on one particular older post too, for whatever reason…). My spam filter is actually doing a fantastic job of catching it all, but I usually try to go through the spam before I delete it, just in case a real comment got caught up in the mix. The sudden flood of them, however, means that I can’t always do that to the extent I’d like to. I had over 900 spam messages one day, and that’s just a few too many to sift through. I wanted to post a message here to let people know that if it does get caught in the spam filter, I might miss it.
Now the way the comment system for this site currently works, new posters have to be approved before their comments will appear. So if you don’t immediately see your comment posted, it may simply be that I haven’t approved it yet. (I approve comments as soon as I see one waiting, but that depends entirely on when I check the site.) But if it goes too long and you don’t see your comment(s), shoot me an email at dragonsong12@hotmail.com to let me know so I can check for it in the spam filter.

Archives Are Currently Being Reposted

UPDATE: Archives should be fixed and all back online. I haven’t had a chance to read through it yet to double check, though, so if anyone does read the archives and sees anything they think may be an error (other than the one missing filler page I couldn’t find) let me know so i can look into it.

I updated Comicpress as I threatened to, and as I expected, there were problems.

The old posts did not migrate over to the new version properly, so while the posts are all there, there are not comics visible. I finally managed to get Comicpress to accept uploads again, but it means I’m going to have to go through and add each individual page back into the archives where it goes. Please bear with me, this may take a while as FFC’s archives are much bigger than TM’s. I hope to have the archives back up by the end of next week, but it’s going to depend on how much free time I have available to get this done. In the meantime, the current page is posted, and I will go forward with new updates each Monday.

Also, I’ll clean up the site as soon as I can. Sorry, and thank you again for your patience.
