So…this is kind of infuriating. After over a decade and a half of no missed updates, here we are right at the end, and this happens…
My hard drive died and I lost all of my files. This happened Sunday morning, and I spent most of the day trying to fix things (…and magically managed to make things much worse somehow, but let’s never speak of that again), so I had no time left once I got my computer running again to get a page together. In order to have SOMETHING posted on time, I just threw this together.
I am currently in the process of trying to recover the files, but it may take as long as three weeks and I haven’t decided yet if I want to try to re-do the entire page or wait for the file recovery, because to add insult to injury today’s page was completely finished. I finished it on Saturday night in the hopes of freeing up my Sunday, so if I can recover it, it’s done…but do I wait that long? Ugh…I don’t know. If I do wait, I’ll probably post multiple pages at once or do a temporarily accelerated updated schedule to catch up.
If you have any strong feelings about it, please feel free to let me know below.
Twisted Mirrors will be posting as scheduled, but it will look a bit odd because among the files lost were several fonts I’d purchased.
Thank you for your patience. See you next week for some form of update, whatever it may be.
Oh dear. Take your time and do whatever is needed to straighten things up. We can wait a little longer. Also, yikes! Firefly Cross has been going for 15 years?!

Indeed! First page was posted to Keenspace (raise your hands if you remember THAT site, haha!) Back in May of 2002. So I suppose it’s actually 16 years now that I think on it.

I appreciate it. I hope I can get this resolved fairly quickly, but it’s nice to hear that, thank you.

Yes! Much strong feelings!
Much strong feelings on supposedly working fine computer stuff crapping out suddenly!
Frankly it’s probably surprising that it happens to other people and not me. I think my computer’s been on over 98% of the time for like, a couple of years? (XD)
(Though there was that time I was trying to upgrade the RAM. That went pretty poorly. I mean, it still worked afterwards, but the process…….sucked.)

While I’m will to admit that there were likely warning signs that I just missed, it always does feel like it just came up out of the blue doesn’t it?
It also seems like any venture concerning computers, no matter how sure you are the process, never goes well. XD I’m glad it worked out for you in the end! Crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to say the same!
